Opposition Leaders Gather in Ibadan for 2027 Summit

On a significant political gathering, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Governor of Rivers State Rotimi Amaechi arrived in Ibadan, Oyo State, for a National Summit organized by opposition parties. This summit also saw the attendance of other prominent opposition figures, including former Governor of Anambra State Peter Obi and his Kano State counterpart Rabiu Kwankwaso.

The event was hosted by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The summit is focused on strategizing for the upcoming 2027 presidential elections, where Atiku is expected to be a key contender for the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
