Ndume Critiques Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Thursday, Ali Ndume, a senator representing Borno South, expressed concerns regarding the political readiness of key opposition figures Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi as the 2027 presidential election approaches. Speaking on Channels Television, Ndume noted that despite their significant political backgrounds—Abubakar as a former Vice President, Obi as a former Governor of Anambra State, and Amaechi as a former Minister of Transport—they have struggled to organize their respective parties, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He emphasized that these leaders have not been able to assert themselves in the political landscape, which poses challenges for the opposition against the ruling Progressive Congress (APC). Ndume cautioned that the opposition should not underestimate the political dynamics leading up to the 2027 elections.
