Senator Barau Urges Ex-Lawmakers to Support Tinubu for 2027 Presidency

Senator Jibrin Barau, at a summit organized by the Nation Forum of Former Legislators in Abuja, urged former lawmakers to back Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election to enable the full implementation of reform agendas. Barau stressed the importance of power rotation and highlighted Tinubu's allowance for two full terms in line with the rotation principle.

Notable attendees included former Senate President Pius Anyim, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Patricia Etteh, and Yakubu Dogara. The summit endorsed Tinubu as the sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

Barau emphasized national unity, mentorship, and collaboration in governance. The forum passed a vote of confidence in Tinubu, endorsing him as the preferred candidate for the upcoming election.
