Dele Momodu Rejects Vice-Presidential Bid for 2027

Dele Momodu, a renowned media entrepreneur, publicly dismissed reports suggesting he plans to run as Atiku Abubakar's vice-presidential candidate in the 2027 general elections. In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, April 30, he described these claims as false and stated he has no intention of contesting for any political office again.

Momodu emphasized his current focus on supporting efforts to form a strong coalition within the opposition, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which he believes has capable leaders to contest for electoral positions. He criticized the political climate, urging actors to avoid abusive rhetoric and personal attacks, particularly against President Bola Tinubu.

Momodu maintained that his main concern is to strengthen the opposition forces ahead of the 2027 elections, rather than seeking electoral office for himself.
