Wike Urges Nigerians to Reject Political Opportunists

Wike criticized individuals who, while not celebrating their birthdays with the downtrodden during their tenure as Governor, now visit Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps for political gain. He stressed the importance of evaluating political leaders based on their intentions and records, rather than ethnic loyalty.

Wike warned that Nigeria's quest for fairness would remain unresolved if political actors focused solely on ethnic control of power without addressing governance conditions. He called for a political culture that values fairness and justice, urging citizens to defend justice even when it does not favor their ethnic group or political interests.
