2027 Election: Ambode Rubbishes ADC Defection Report, Declares Support for Tinubu

Former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has dismissed reports of his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections. Ambode described the reports as false and aimed at causing distractions.

He praised Tinubu as a proven achiever and leader, highlighting the significant reforms delivered during his administration, including in pension, student loans, youth empowerment, and national economic growth. In a statement issued on Saturday, Ambode urged Nigerians to ignore political distractions and pledged to work tirelessly to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure Tinubu's success in 2027.

Meanwhile, former governor Nasir criticized Tinubu, calling him a threat to Nigeria's peace and unity. Tinubu, in response, emphasized the need for Nigerians to support him in the upcoming elections.
