Edo APC Chairman: 3.5M Votes for Tinubu in 2027

In an interview, APC Chairman Tenebe expressed confidence that Edo State will deliver 3.5 million votes for Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. He discussed the party's preparations for the election, including strengthening its structure and engaging members, particularly those from opposition parties who have shown interest in joining the APC.

Tenebe noted that Edo has three million registered voters, many of whom reside outside the state, and emphasized the importance of encouraging these individuals to return home to exercise their voting rights. He acknowledged the economic hardships faced by Nigerians but expressed optimism that the federal government's policies would yield positive results over time.

Tenebe also dismissed concerns that the defection of opposition members to the APC would weaken Nigeria's democracy, asserting that individuals have the constitutional right to associate with any political party of their choice.
