Okpebholo Promises 2.5 Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027

On Wednesday, Edo State Governor Mondai Okpebholo declared his commitment to delivering 2.5 million votes for Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Speaking at a rally held at Garrick Memorial Ground on Ekenwan Road in Benin City, Okpebholo welcomed members from major parties, including the African Democratic Congress, People's Democratic Party, and Labour Party, who decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He asserted that Edo State firmly supports the APC and attributed the party's growing support to visible developmental projects across the state. Okpebholo expressed confidence in achieving the 2.5 million votes, linking the state's development directly to federal support.

He invited television anchors Rufai Oseni and Reuben Abati to tour various projects in Edo State, emphasizing that the achievements of his administration speak louder than campaign rhetoric. He reaffirmed the loyalty of the APC in Edo State and highlighted the party's strength with 31 governors nationwide, promising to maintain the state's developmental strides.
