2027 Election: Ex-Minister Mentions Names, People Allegedly Working Underground To Destroy ADC

Former Minister of Youth Development Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has accused individuals linked to the Presidency of working covertly to destabilize the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general election. Abdullahi, the party's National Publicity Secretary, claimed that there is a plot aimed at weakening the opposition party to prevent it from mounting a credible challenge.

He dismissed allegations that the state chairman and former presidential candidate Dumebi Kachikwu had hijacked the party, calling them baseless. Abdullahi emphasized that the party's focus is on issues that directly affect Nigerians, rather than regional or ethnic considerations.

He warned against turning the 2027 election into a regionalism, ethnicity, or religion-based contest, stressing the importance of governance and policy issues. Abdullahi also highlighted the need for the party to internally decide on its presidential candidate, comparing the situation to the Democrats rallying behind Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden's poor debate performance.
