Keyamo Warns PDP Against Wooing Back Peter Obi for 2027 Election

Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, warned that if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) woos back Peter Obi, they risk losing the 2027 election. This comes after Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State mentioned that Obi was the 2023 Labour Party candidate.

Keyamo, a chieftain of the ruling APC, explained that if the PDP fields a southern candidate, they would need votes from at least three out of four geopolitical regions to win against the incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Obi had resigned from the LP and emerged as a presidential candidate in 2023.

Keyamo emphasized the importance of regional support in Nigerian elections.
