2027 Election: Jubilation as Resigned Former PDP Chairman Joins ADC in Lagos, Photos, Video Emerge

Former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Tunji Shelle, officially resigned from the party on August 23, ahead of the 2027 election. Shelle cited internal crisis and alleged insincerity among leaders as reasons for his resignation.

He joined the African Democratic Party (ADC), with photos and videos emerging of the jubilation that followed. ADC's national secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, welcomed Shelle and others, emphasizing the importance of governance based on the welfare of the masses.

Aregbesola expressed delight at the defection, stating that the task ahead is to rescue the country and build a new Nigeria that future generations will be proud of. This development comes after lawmaker Leke Abejide revealed the collapse of the newly adopted party in September 2025.
