Ex-Lagos PDP Chairman, Tunji Shelle Joins ADC

Former Lagos PDP Chairman, Tunji Shelle, has officially joined the ADC party, along with other prominent political figures from the PDP and Labour Party. Shelle cited the PDP's internal issues, including indiscipline and lack of leadership, as reasons for his defection.

He accused PDP leaders of failing to address destabilizing activities by national figures like Minister Nyesom Wike, who he claimed was still working with the APC while claiming PDP membership. Shelle expressed confidence in the ADC's leadership, particularly praising David Mark as Interim Chairman.

Other defectors echoed Shelle's sentiments, with many expressing disillusionment with the PDP's handling of internal crises. They emphasized their commitment to working within the ADC to challenge the ruling APC in the 2023 elections.

Former PDP members in Lagos have already begun defecting across 20 local government areas, with plans to continue their efforts to strengthen the ADC.
