Plateau Governor's Aide Addresses Rumors of PDP Member's Defection Ahead of 2027 Elections

Istifanu Mwansat, a special adviser on political matters to the Plateau State Governor, clarified rumors surrounding his rumored exit from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and potential defection to another party ahead of the 2027 elections. The Governor's aide emphasized that Mwansat has not defected yet and is consulting with party leaders before making a final decision.

The Governor's camp denied claims of defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and insisted that Mwansat remains with the PDP. The Young Progress Party (YPP) also described the speculations as false.
