Eggon Political Forum Endorses Ombugadu for 2027 Governorship

The Eggon Political Forum officially endorsed Rt. Hon. Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa State.

This decision was announced during a grand assembly at Albert Event Hall in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, attended by leaders and stakeholders. The Forum, a non-partisan body focused on political stability among the Eggon people, stated that the endorsement followed extensive consultations and assessments.

Six prominent Eggon candidates had secured party tickets, including Hon. Shuaibu Umaru Kubi (Accord) and Gen. Nuhu Angbazo (ADC). The Forum highlighted the importance of unity to avoid vote fragmentation and enhance the community's chances of winning the governorship.

They assessed candidates based on party stability, grassroots presence, and governance experience, concluding that Ombugadu was the most suitable choice. The Forum appealed to other candidates and ethnic groups in Nasarawa to support Ombugadu.

Following the endorsement, a delegation informed the Aren Eggon, His Royal Highness Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku, of their resolution.
