PDP's Ombugadu: Osun Election Fuels 2027 Ambitions

Dr. David Ombugadu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, declared that the recent governorship election in Osun State has bolstered the party's resolve to confront the power of incumbency in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Speaking after the PDP state congress at the party's secretariat in Lafia, Ombugadu noted that the Osun election demonstrated that political power ultimately resides with the people, rather than being secured through incumbency or political alliances.

He expressed confidence that voters would actively participate in the 2027 elections, ensuring their choices were respected. Ombugadu mentioned that despite some members leaving the party, the PDP's structure in Nasarawa remains robust, aiming to win all 24 state Assembly seats and the governorship election.

Dr. Daniel Gimba, the PDP state chairman, echoed Ombugadu's sentiments, stating that the Osun election illustrated that financial influence could not dictate voters' decisions, and he encouraged voters to protect their choices.
