Kwara APC Women Strategize for Political Takeover in 2027 Elections

Kwara APC women, led by Mopelola Abdulmalik Bashir, are planning to contest all federal constituencies in the 2027 elections, showcasing a strong political ambition. The women are inspired by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's gender inclusivity policies, including appointing 50 women to cabinet positions.

The formation of the National Association of Women in Politics (NAWW) aims to enhance women's political coordination and participation. Kwara's commitment to gender inclusivity is recognized globally, with Governor Abdulrazaq being hailed as a champion for gender equality by organizations like UN Women and ECOWAS.

During a visit by Ms. Beatrice Eyong, the state was commended for its efforts in promoting gender mainstreaming and empowerment.
