2027 Elections: Malema Proposes Single African Presidency, “We Don’t Care What Trump Thinks”

EFF leader Julius Malema proposed a single African presidency during the 2027 elections, advocating for a united continent with one leader, currency, parliament, and military command. Speaking at the Nigeria Bar Association Annual General Conference, Malema emphasized the need for African leaders to work towards a borderless continent and speak with one voice, disregarding colonial boundaries.

Malema's proposal challenges the current system of 54 recognized sovereign states in Africa. Meanwhile, former presidential candidate Peter Obi expressed his intention to run for president in 2027, promising good governance within a single term.

Spiritual leader Primate Elijah Ayodele also weighed in, suggesting that two presidential aspirants should step aside to allow for a clear path to the presidency. Malema's bold proposal and the emerging candidates set the stage for an intriguing 2027 presidential race in Africa.
