Ogun Monarch Endorses PDP Candidates for 2027 Elections

On Friday, the Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, Oba (Dr.) Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso, endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates for the 2027 general elections. This royal endorsement occurred during a courtesy visit by the PDP leadership in Ogun State, which included Deputy Chairman Chief Abiodun Ogunremi.

The delegation introduced key candidates: Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu (governorship), Alhaja (Dr.) Lateefat Oyeyemi Sowunmi-Kolapo (deputy governorship), Senator (Prof.) Iyabo Olusola Obasanjo (Ogun Central Senatorial), and Arc.

Dele Olaleye (House of Representatives). Adebutu promised to focus on people-oriented governance and local government autonomy if elected.

He also pledged to support the construction of a new palace for the monarch. In response, Oba Tejuoso welcomed the candidates and prayed for peaceful campaigns.

He conferred chieftaincy titles on Adebutu, Sowunmi-Kolapo, Obasanjo, and Olaleye, with the installation date to be announced later. The visit concluded with gratitude expressed by Prince Lekan Tejuoso.
