Wike Promises Completion of Key Roads Before December

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), assured residents that the Apo-Karshi road and the Bwari-Kubwa road will be completed by December. During an inspection in Abuja, Wike noted that the Apo-Karshi road contract, originally awarded in 2010, had stalled under a previous administration but was re-awarded by the current administration.

The contractor has committed to handing over the road by November. Wike expressed satisfaction with the progress, highlighting the road's significance.

He also mentioned that the contractor for the Bwari-Kubwa road, SCC, has promised completion by the end of the year, despite delays due to heavy rainfall. In response to questions about the political landscape for the FCT ahead of the 2027 general elections, Wike expressed confidence in the ruling party's chances, attributing this to the administration's infrastructure achievements.
