Wike Claims 2027 Election Concluded, Backs Tinubu's Re-election

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former governor of Rivers State, announced that the 2027 presidential election has already been concluded, claiming that no one can prevent President Bola Tinubu from securing re-election. Wike made these statements while addressing journalists in Abuja on a Friday.

He also ridiculed Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, for his efforts to persuade Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to join the ADC. Wike remarked, “This election has been concluded and there is nothing anyone can do about it,” and questioned Momodu's relevance, referencing his frequent television appearances where he mentions his birthplace in Ife in hopes of attracting Adeleke.

Wike's comments come amidst allegations that the outcome of the 2027 general elections has been predetermined in favor of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
