Ex-Minister Dalung Warns Tinubu of Return to Lagos in 2027 Elections

Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has warned that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu might be forced to return to Lagos after one term in office in the 2027 elections. Dalung, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed confidence in defeating Tinubu in the upcoming election.

He criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for failing to meet Nigerians' expectations, leading to the emergence of new political forces like the ADC. Dalung dismissed Tinubu's earlier description of the ADC as a camp for internally displaced politicians, stating that the party is fast becoming a strong platform.

The ADC is forming alliances to challenge the ruling party in the 2027 general election.
