ADC Criticizes Presidency Over Tinubu's Tenure Extension Plans

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly criticized the Presidency's recent declaration of President Tinubu's intention to extend his tenure beyond 2031. The ADC firmly stated that Tinubu will not get a second term in 2027, as it is his constitutional mandate to end by then.

The party expressed confidence that Nigerians would not support any attempt to prolong his stay in office. The ADC's response followed the Presidency's dismissal of claims made by a former Kaduna State Governor about Tinubu's ambitions.

The ADC accused the Presidency of a desperate response to validate public suspicions. The ADC emphasized that staying in office beyond 2027 would confirm the government's incapability.
