Malami Announces ADC Candidacy for Kebbi Governorship 2027

Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, has officially announced his intention to run for the governorship of Kebbi State in the 2027 elections, representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In a statement released on Saturday via social media, Malami expressed his concerns regarding the deteriorating conditions in Kebbi, including rising insecurity, poverty, poor healthcare, and declining educational standards.

He highlighted alarming statistics, noting that 67 percent of children aged six to fifteen are out of school and 88 percent live in multidimensional poverty. Malami criticized the current administration for failing to address these pressing issues, which he claims have led to a humanitarian crisis in the state.

He emphasized the need to restore security, improve education, and strengthen healthcare delivery. Malami called for the support of Kebbi residents to join him in his mission to rebuild the state into a safer and more prosperous society.
