Malami Named ADC Governorship Candidate for Kebbi 2027

Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice under President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged as the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The announcement was made through a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Moham Bello Doka, on Sunday.

Malami's candidacy follows consultations with party leaders and stakeholders across the state, expressing gratitude for their support and confidence in his leadership. The ADC has also endorsed several notable figures for various positions, including retired Major General Aminu Band for Kebbi Central Senatorial District, retired Deputy Comptroller General Ibrahim Muhammad Mera for Kebbi North Senatorial District, and Garba Danjuma Limi for Kebbi South Senatorial District.

The ADC remains committed to promoting good governance, justice, security, and sustainable development in Kebbi State. Malami is expected to face the incumbent governor, Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the 2027 governorship election.
