Ex-NASS Members Reject Bola Tinubu's Endorsement for Second Term

Former members of the National Assembly in Nigeria have rejected the endorsement of Bola Tinubu for a second term. The endorsement was reportedly made by a group of former legislators, including prominent figures like Femi Gbajabiamila, Pius Anyim, Ken Nnamani, Patricia Etteh, and Yakubu Dogara.

The Former Legislators Forum issued a joint statement expressing their disapproval of the endorsement, claiming it was driven by inducements rather than genuine consultation. They emphasized that they were not part of the gathering and warned against deceptive political exercises.

The statement, signed by 17 former legislators, highlighted the need for credible leadership based on tangible achievements rather than manufactured endorsements. The group condemned the alleged monetization of democratic institutions and stressed the importance of upholding the integrity of Nigeria's democracy.
