Omar Gambari Secures PDP Governorship Forms for 2027

Omar Bolaji Gambari has obtained his governorship nomination forms from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) at the party's state secretariat located along Pipeline Road in Ilorin, Kwara State. This event took place on Thursday evening, following his arrival at the Tund Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin.

Gambari paid homage to the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, seeking royal blessings for his political ambitions. He expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged the leadership of Abubakar Bukola Saraki for sustaining the PDP structure in the state.

Gambari emphasized his loyalty to the party, despite not emerging as a candidate during the 2018 elections, and dismissed rumors of intending to contest for a senatorial seat, insisting his focus remains on the governorship position. He expressed optimism about the party's consensus and pledged to work towards reclaiming power for the PDP in the 2027 governorship elections.
