Ooni of Ife Donates N100m to Iru Ekun Security Network

On Tuesday, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, donated N100 million and a brand-new Hilux vehicle to the Iru Ekun Security Network, a community-based security initiative established by Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo. This donation was made during a courtesy visit by Sunday Igboho and members of the Iru Ekun Security Network to the Ooni’s Palace in Ile-Ife.

A statement from the Ooni’s Senior Media Officer, Sodiq Lawal, on behalf of the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Otunba Moses Olafare, described the initiative as timely for complementing existing security agencies in Yoruba communities. The Ooni praised Igboho for his commitment to the security of the Yoruba people and emphasized the collective responsibility of all Yoruba individuals to promote peace and unity.

He urged support for the Iru Ekun Security Network from various community leaders and professionals. In response, Sunday Igboho expressed gratitude for the Ooni's support, highlighting the monarch's role as a unifying figure for the Yoruba people.
