Farah Dagogo Secures ADC Nomination for Rivers Governorship

Farah Dagogo, a former member of the House of Representatives, has officially picked up the governorship nomination form from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to contest in the 2027 Rivers State governorship election. He collected the form on behalf of his associates in Abuja on Monday.

Dagogo's administration plans to reposition Rivers State as an economic development hub in Nigeria, proposing a governance blueprint that emphasizes diplomacy, information security, and economic strategies. He aims to prioritize youth empowerment by establishing a youth entrepreneurship development trust fund, dedicating at least five percent of the state's annual capital budget to support young entrepreneurs.

Dagogo also plans to drive education in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) to equip youth with relevant skills for the modern economy. He expressed confidence in his political prospects, noting widespread support across the state and his commitment to serving the people inclusively.

Dagogo previously contested for the PDP governorship ticket ahead of the 2023 elections but faced legal challenges that impacted his participation.
