ADC Begins Governorship Primaries in Rivers State

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has initiated its governorship primaries in Rivers State, with the electoral exercise taking place across 319 wards on a Friday. The process is supervised by the national electoral committee of the party.

Prior to the primaries, a meeting was held among the governorship aspirants, resulting in Gabriel Pidomson, a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and ex-secretary of state, stepping down to support Henri Ugboma. Ugboma remains in the contest alongside other candidates, including Sokont Davi, Farah Dagogo, Leloonu Nwibubasa, and Allen Hart.

The primaries are a significant step in the ADC's political strategy as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
