Support Grows for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

During a summit held on Wednesday in Ibadan, Hosea Agboola, a former Senate Chief Whip and a member of the Alleluyah Reform Movement, called for support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. The summit attracted approximately 1,000 members from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Agboola emphasized the group's ability to mobilize a strong grassroots base, aiming to deliver between four to five million votes for Tinubu in the upcoming presidential election. The movement, which emerged in August 2025 due to internal crises within the PDP, is structured across 11 local government areas in Ibadanland and extends to 33 local government areas in Oyo State.

Key figures, including former governors Rashidi Ladoja and Adebayo Alao-Akala, also spoke at the summit, reinforcing their commitment to Tinubu's administration. The summit showcased a significant turnout, reflecting a genuine political shift in allegiance towards the APC.
