Ondo APC Support Groups Back Tinubu for 2027 Election

Support groups loyal to President Bola Tinubu in Ondo State have publicly rejected a directive from the state executive of the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding the registration of support groups. In a joint statement signed by coalition convenor Demola Ijabiyi, the groups warned that the directive could create administrative bottlenecks and weaken grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

They reaffirmed their commitment to party unity and security, describing Tinubu's victory as a landslide. The coalition acknowledged the directive from the state party's public secretary but insisted that their groups are already recognized by the APC's national secretariat in Abuja, compliant with the party's constitution.

They urged the state chapter to focus on joint planning and logistics rather than measures that could discourage mobilization. The coalition emphasized the importance of maintaining the autonomy of support groups and called for total mobilization in support of Tinubu's re-election campaign, stressing that bureaucratic hurdles should not hinder the party's chances in Ondo State.
