Folarin Endorses Alli for APC Governorship in Oyo State

Senator Teslim Folarin, a former Senate Leader and Oyo State governorship candidate in 2023, has declared his support for Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 elections. Speaking on Monday, Folarin called on aggrieved party members to set aside their differences and work towards the party's success.

He acknowledged the disappointment felt by aspirants who had invested years in their ambitions and expressed concern over the slow progress of reconciliation efforts led by Professor Taoheed Adedoja and Senator Femi Lanlehin, which he stated had only achieved about 20 percent of its target. Folarin emphasized the importance of resolving internal conflicts as elections approach and mentioned meetings with key party figures, including Chief Adebayo Adelabu and Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, to address the crisis.

He urged party members to support Alli and highlighted the need for a review of the party's reward system to ensure contributors benefit from their efforts.
