2027: Fresh Twist as Tinubu’s Former Adviser Approaches INEC To Register New Party To Challenge APC

Aliyu Audu, a former special adviser to the President, has approached INEC to register a new political party called the African Renaissance Congress (ARC) to challenge the APC in the 2027 elections. Audu described ARC as a movement for rebirth and renewal, inspired by the symbolism of Noah's Ark.

The party aims to address issues such as corruption, broken leadership, systemic injustice, and spiritual disconnection in Nigeria. ARC plans to offer a new style of governance based on competence, conscience, and compassion, positioning Nigeria as a continental leader in sustainable development.

While there is a threat of an opposition coalition in the upcoming elections, PDP chieftain Sule Lamido warned that picking the wrong presidential candidate could jeopardize their chances. The ACF reaffirmed its stance of aligning with a political party whose members share their views, expressing concerns about northern marginalization and political treachery.
