African Renaissance Congress, ARC, seeks INEC approval, registration as political party

The African Renaissance Congress (ARC) has formally applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for registration as a political party ahead of the 2027 general election. In a letter signed by Alhaji Aliyu Audu, the Convener of the African Renaissance Movement, and Dr.

Omamoke Omavovwa Sophia Ubiame, the group expressed their vision of using the ARC as a vessel for the rebirth, renewal, and rescue of Nigeria. The party outlined a threefold mission of rescuing Nigeria through governance rooted in competence, conscience, and compassion, catalyzing Africa's rebirth, and offering Nigerians a new covenant based on values and vision.

The ARC emphasized its commitment to transparency, accountability, and adherence to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution and the amended 2022 Electoral Act. INEC is expected to review the application and decide whether to grant the ARC full registration as a political party eligible to contest elections in Nigeria.
