2027: ‘Goodluck Jonathan Is Not Interested In Running For President’ – Deji Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju has reported that former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan is not interested in running for president in 2027. Speculation arose after reports suggested that Jonathan, a former Governor of Bayelsa State, may contest under the Progressives Congress (APC) or face pressure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to run against President Bola Tinubu.

However, Jonathan has not confirmed these rumors. Adeyanju took to Facebook to address the speculation, calling it a distraction.

Former Secretary General of the Arewa Consultative Forum, Sani, also commented on the matter, stating that Jonathan is politically savvy enough to understand the current fragmented opposition. With Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi reportedly running for different parties, Sani believes Jonathan's past performance may not be enough to turn the tide in the country's current state.
