Goodluck Nigeria Movement Mobilizes for Jonathan's 2027 Bid

The Goodluck Nigeria Movement has commenced large-scale grassroots mobilization across Northern Nigeria in support of former President Goodluck Jonathan's potential candidacy for the 2027 presidential election. This initiative follows a Federal High Court ruling that struck down a suit aimed at preventing Jonathan from contesting.

The movement's activities include the establishment of ward-level coordination structures across 12 Northern states, with a significant focus on Kano State. Mallam Isa, the Kano State coordinator, noted that there is already considerable support for Jonathan based on his perceived record in office.

John Akpan, the movement's media coordinator, reported a rapid increase in online participation, with 3,000 new members joining their WhatsApp and Telegram platforms within 24 hours. The movement aims to build a strong grassroots structure to amplify ordinary Nigerians' voices ahead of the 2027 elections, emphasizing the need for stable leadership.

The movement is determined to establish its presence without relying on political elites in Abuja.
