Adebayo's 2027 Presidential Plans Focus on Poverty and Security

The Movement Adebayo for President (MAP) has called on Nigerians to critically evaluate presidential candidates ahead of the 2027 general election, presenting Adewole Adebayo, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), as a viable alternative. MAP released a statement titled “Choosing Between President Tinubu and Citizen Adebayo: A Social Democratic Manifesto That Signposts National Redemption,” which outlines Adebayo’s manifesto, “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity.” The manifesto focuses on poverty reduction, national security, and economic development through a comprehensive agenda that includes 12 priority areas such as food security, education, and healthcare.

MAP criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reportedly opting out of direct engagement in the APC’s presidential campaign, arguing that candidates should connect with voters. The group urged APC leaders to prioritize national interests and assess candidates based on their policy proposals.

Adebayo’s governance plan includes establishing a Presidential Delivery and Performance Office and conducting baseline assessments across key sectors within the first 100 days of his potential administration.
