NDC Warns Wike Against Election Result Claims for 2027

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) cautioned Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), regarding his assertions that he would secure the FCT and Rivers State for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 election. This warning was issued by Theo Abu Agada, the NDC's Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, who expressed skepticism about Wike's belief that he could simply write election results in these regions.

Wike made these claims during a monthly media chat on Wednesday, where he emphasized his active role in monitoring political activities in Rivers State to prevent the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, from winning. He dismissed rumors of relocating to Rivers State, stating that he could not rely solely on assurances from political associates in Abuja.

Agada responded by asserting that the electorate would actively vote, monitor, and protect their votes in the 2027 election.
