ADC Strategizes on 2027 Presidential Candidate to Challenge Tinubu

Solomon Dalung, a former Minister of Youth and Sports, outlined the African Democratic Congress's (ADC) approach to selecting a presidential candidate to contest against Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election. Dalung emphasized the party's emphasis on unity over individual politicians, aiming to prevent internal divisions that could weaken their chances.

He mentioned the agreement among party members to support a credible candidate emerging from the primaries. Notable figures identified by Dalung as potential candidates included Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, John Odigie Oyegun, and David Mark.

The ADC's strategy appears to be centered on building a coalition to challenge Tinubu's presidency.
