Tijani Claims APC Leaders Unhappy with Kwara Governor

Hon. Ismail Tijani, representing the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyin Federal constituency, alleged that he purchased cars for Kwara State APC Chairman Sunday Fagbemi and deputy chairman Sanmori, claiming they did not receive similar support from Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. Tijani made these statements during a political gathering organized by The Otoge Progressives, amidst growing political realignments in Kwara ahead of the 2027 elections.

He asserted that many party leaders are dissatisfied with AbdulRazaq but feel compelled to stay with him due to financial obligations, stating, “None of them is happy with him, but they don’t have choice but have to stay because they need to sort bills.” Tijani also accused the governor of betraying his political allies from the 2019 election and expressed frustration over halted projects, including road repairs and a proposed ultra-modern hospital. He urged voters to accept political inducements but to vote according to their conscience in the upcoming elections.
