2027: I will back anyone that emerges ADC presidential candidate – Atiku

Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar announced his support for whoever emerges as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate in 2027. At a welcome ceremony for new defectors to the party in Lagos State, Atiku emphasized that he would back the chosen candidate regardless of whether he himself wins the party ticket.

He highlighted the importance of a free and fair contest within the party, stating that the party will determine the candidate through a fair process. Atiku mentioned that the three frontrunners for the ADC presidential ticket include former governor and presidential aspirant Chibuike Amaechi, Peter Obi, and himself.

He reiterated his commitment to supporting the chosen candidate as a representative of the Nigerian people in the upcoming election.
