Peter Obi Declares 2027 Presidential Bid, Rejects VP Role in ADC

Peter Obi, a key figure within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has revealed his ambition to run as a presidential candidate in the 2027 general elections, rejecting the vice presidential role. Speaking at a campaign event in Abuja, specifically at the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) election, Obi emphasized his aim for the top position and urged party members to rally behind his presidential bid.

He stressed the importance of winning the AMAC poll to advance the party's political mission and secure victory in future elections. Despite pressure from within the ADC to adopt a different candidate, Obi insisted on being the party's standard bearer for the 2027 elections.

Notably, other high-profile politicians with presidential ambitions, including Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi, are also part of the ADC.
