Iyamu Declares Candidacy for Oredo House of Reps

On Friday, Hon. Paddi Iyamu formally declared his intention to contest for the Oredo House of Representatives seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration took place at the APC secretariat in Oredo Local Government Area, where he received significant support from party leaders and members, underscoring his deep-rooted commitment to the party's growth and success. Iyamu dismissed allegations questioning his grassroots support, asserting that his track record since 2016 speaks for itself.

He highlighted his mobilization efforts during previous elections, including support for the APC's candidates in the 2020 and 2024 elections. Iyamu emphasized his initiatives aimed at empowering women and youth within Oredo, which he believes have strengthened the party's grassroots base.

He also addressed criticisms regarding his loyalty to the APC, insisting that his dedication is evident and that he maintains a cordial relationship with the party's leadership. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including former Edo State House of Assembly Speaker Ambassador Uyi Igb and other APC members.
