Wike Denies Reports of Jonathan's 2027 Presidential Bid

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), dismisses speculations about Goodluck Jonathan's potential presidential bid in 2027, stating that Jonathan has not informed him of any such plans. Wike addressed various political issues during a media parley in Abuja, including the upcoming PDP national convention and internal party disputes.

He refuted claims of pressuring Jonathan to run and distanced himself from endorsing Kabiru Tanimu Turaki for the PDP national chairmanship. The PDP's northern stakeholders have endorsed Turaki as their preferred candidate for the upcoming party elections scheduled for November 15-16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
