Wike Advises Jonathan Against 2027 Presidential Bid, Cautions on Political Manipulation

Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, advised ex-President Goodluck Jonathan not to allow himself to be used for political gain in the 2027 presidential race. Wike, during a live TV program, urged Jonathan to avoid being a tool to frustrate the current President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He emphasized the need for Jonathan to prioritize the country's well-being over personal ambitions and cautioned against causing unnecessary political turmoil. Wike clarified that he respects Jonathan but wants to prevent any misrepresentation of his support.

The former Minister of State for Education also encouraged Jonathan to run for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidacy. Wike stressed the importance of unity and stability in the political landscape.
