Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Names Garo as Running Mate

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has officially announced Murtala Sule Galadima Garo as his running mate for the upcoming 2027 governorship election. This decision was made public during a strategic meeting held in Abuja, which included key political figures and was attended by President Bola Tinubu.

Yusuf's spokesman, Sunusi Batur Dawakin Tofa, stated that the choice of Garo was based on his proven loyalty and dedication to the development of the state under the current administration. Governor Yusuf expressed confidence in Garo's reliability and effectiveness as a deputy, stating that he has not regretted the choice made in the last few months.

He called on party leaders and political appointees to support the administration and remain united in their commitment to consolidating achievements in preparation for the 2027 polls.
