Kogi PDP Endorses Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for Senate 2027

On Thursday, during a meeting at the People's Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Lokoja, Kogi State, the party's work committee ratified the automatic ticket for Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the sole senatorial candidate for the Kogi Central district in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The decision followed an earlier endorsement by the state chairman, Muhammed Gambo, who declared Akpoti-Uduaghan as the unanimous choice for the senatorial race.

Gambo praised her contributions to the party and her performance in the National Assembly, highlighting her support for development efforts in Kogi Central, including infrastructure projects and empowerment programs. The committee affirmed Akpoti-Uduaghan's suitability to represent the party, reflecting confidence in her leadership and popularity among party members.

She has expressed intent to seek re-election, following consultations with constituents across five local government areas in Kogi Central.
