NNPP Denies Reports of Kwankwaso Holding Talks with APC Over Defection

The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) refutes claims that former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso has engaged in discussions with the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding defection. NNPP's spokesperson, Dipo Olayoku, clarified that the last known meeting between Kwankwaso and APC's Bola Tinubu occurred in January 2024.

Olayoku emphasized that Kwankwaso has not entertained any talks about defecting to the APC, particularly after the Supreme Court ruling that reinstated Governor Abba Yusuf in January 2024. Kwankwaso's camp maintains that discussions with the APC have not taken place, with the latest interaction being a visit to President Buhari in January 2024, where no APC-related matters were discussed.
