Pro-Tinubu Group Urges Key Appointments for 2027 Campaign

A pro-Tinubu group, identified as the Ndigbo Tinubu 2027 Forum, has recommended that Bola Ahmed Tinubu appoint prominent political figures such as Dave Umahi, Nyesom Wike, Nuhu Ribadu, and Bello Matawalle to spearhead his presidential campaign for the 2027 elections. The group, represented by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Dr.

Ugwuok Ugwuok, emphasized that this strategic move is essential to bolster campaign structures ahead of the next general elections. They expressed concerns regarding the potential for a repeat of the 2015 electoral defeat of former President Goodluck Jonathan, attributing it to internal betrayals.

Additionally, the group alleged that Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, is considering a departure from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) amid ongoing legal disputes within the party. The forum expressed confidence that mobilizing support from various geopolitical zones would enhance Tinubu's chances in the upcoming elections.
