Kwankwaso Responds to Atiku on Kano's Political Influence

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, addressed comments made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during a television interview on Arise Television. Atiku suggested that Kwankwaso's political appeal is limited to Kano State.

In response, Kwankwaso dismissed this claim, stating that the true measure of political loyalty in Kano will be determined in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He urged observers to exercise patience regarding concerns about potential vote splitting in the North, asserting that the political landscape is evolving and public opinion will be tested at the polls.

Kwankwaso clarified his current involvement with the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and noted Atiku's association with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He expressed confidence that the situation will become clearer once the ballots are cast and results announced.
